A Time for Reflection

November feels like a time for reflection, a time for losing myself in sensory moments; a wisp of smoke in the air, or the rustle of fallen leaves keeping me sensitive to the changing seasons. I am not listening to the news today, which floods my body with fear and anxiety. Instead I am connecting with the reality of the here and now, by walking amongst the trees. This will keep me in balance and maybe it’s something you need too?

We are near the end of the cycle of the year, approaching a time of ‘wintering’ and if we want to live in rhythm with the natural world, this is a time when we should withdraw from the cold, rest, and welcome a phase of restoration and renewal at the deepest level. I hope I can help you ease into this.

I think the Nature Fix almanac is particularly rich this month. You can tell how inspiring I find November from the two WoodSong meditations I recorded in the woods. One is all about closing the gap between how you feel and how you want to feel using Neuroplasticity to welcome sensations of ease. The other guides you on a mindful autumn walk, helping you embrace everything that November can offer to take you into a deeper connection with the natural world.

You can enjoy the full catalogue of WoodSong meditations in Nature Fix, online almanac of nature connection - or download individual episodes from my shop.
